During college festivals, seminars, and club events, our Bizonomics Club's iconic Mini-Business Stall, which sells handcrafted goods, greeting cards, and food items made by students, brings economics and commerce to life.

Our Vision

We bring classroom theory to life through zero-to-low-cost student enterprises selling handcrafted goods, greeting cards, and affordable food items. This fosters entrepreneurial skills while raising funds for future club projects, like workshops and seminars.

Highlights of the Stall

• Established Feature: A joyous mainstay at events organized by Bizonomics Club (Movie screening, Quiz, and other competitions) and intercollege extravaganzas.
• Essential Products:

 • Food Items: Phuchka, puffed rice bhelpuri, freshly cut fruits, Alu kabli, popcorn, handmade cakes, reasonably priced snacks (₹5–20) prepared using local ingredients.

• Handicrafts: Terracotta trinkets, handmade jewellery items, flower vases, key rings that honour the art and history of West Bengal (₹10–50).

• Greeting cards: Hand-drawn decorative cards that are perfect for festivals and special occasions like Christmas, New Year, Birthday are prepared and may be customized on the spot as well (₹5–15).

• Unique Selling Proposition: Emphasis on handmade, sustainable quality products that connect to the curriculum of economics and commerce.

Configuration and Implementation

• Location: 6x6-foot table in a quad or busy area; with display boxes club banners and shop backdrops, and price lists.
• Team: 4-6 volunteers in rotation: 1 accountant (notebook ledger for sales and profits), 2 makers, and 2 sellers, offering discounts and buzz-generating promotions.

Sustainability & Impact

• Learning Gains: In line with NEP 2020 experiential learning, students get the scope to have real-world experience in inventory, pricing (e.g., cost ₹3 → sell ₹10), negotiation, and profit calculation.
• Profits: ₹1000–3000 per event go toward expanding eco-commerce and funding future seminars and workshops organized by the club.
• Previous achievements: Substantial sales at the Bizonomics club events, as well as the most recent Intercollege Cultural and Literary Extravaganza 2026, point to the "fun way to learn business basics!"

This Mini Business stall, which transforms classroom theory into campus commerce and economics, epitomizes the spirit of the Bizonomics Club.
